Designing mental fitness—

The Brief

In the summer of 2021, we undertook the creative brief for Halen, a new mental health app that matches clients with world-class Halen Pros. These expert life coaches can support any area of the mental fitness journey and help build up mental resilience. Although Halen resides in the mental health sector, the brand was targeting people who feel alienated by traditional therapy; and the visuals needed to reflect this.

Action

Instead of taking inspiration from competitors in the mental health category, we approached the creative and graphic design for Halen as we would a sports brand. Clean, dynamic, saturated visuals, bold design, punchy copy and strong, powerful soundtracks punctuate all assets. We've created a unique and compelling design book and assets for the brand which has now been rolled out across Halen social channels, website, CRMs, iOS store and now even the app design itself.

Impact

Still in its infancy, our efforts have driven best-in-class output for Halen's paid social strategies and built organic channels via a hardworking weekly calendar of content. Even with a relatively new audience and product offering, our Reel and TikTok content for the brand consistently delivers well over 20,000 organic views per post; allowing consumers to better understand the product and incentivising mental health professionals to sign-up and join the service.
